Course Information

The course is designed to introduce you to the creative skills involved in a range of projects using textiles to produce applique and embroidery designs.

Course Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

What Will I Learn?

You will learn how to create your own designs and apply them to a range of finished products including handbags,shoes and jewellery. You will be able to use a sewing machine with confidence to produce decorative stitches. Your creative skills will be developed to enable you to translate drawings into applique.

Assessment and Accreditation

Your progress is assessed by the course tutor, there is no formal external accreditation. You will be encouraged to keep a brief weekly journal of your work and progress.

What Should I Bring?

The tutor will advise you at the first session,but you will need a sewing kit and fabric and beads as appropriate to your chosen projects.
