Course Information

This course provides the qualification required by Awarding Bodies for anyone involved in assessing or verifying NVQs.

Admission to the course is subject to interview. Contact Julie Walker on 304211 to discuss further. The course timings are flexible and agreed with the candidates.

Course Entry Requirements

You must be assessing or internally verifying candidates who are on NVQ programmes.

What Will I Learn?

Assessor and Verifier Awards - A1/A2/V1

A1- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Candidates using a range of methods This is the qualification you need if you are assessing NVQ candidates.

A2 - Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Candidates Performance through observations. This qualifies you to assess NVQ candidates through observation in the workplace.

V1 - Level 4 Certificate in Conducting Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process This qualifies you to carry out Internal Verification.

Assessment and Accreditation

You will compile a portfolio which will enable you to demonstrate your competence. There are no formal examinations, but you will agree an assessment plan and provide evidence for your assessor to gain the qualification.
