
Becta Next Generation Learning Award Winners
Middlesbrough Adult Education Service, in partnership with the Teeslearn VLE were the recipient of the presitgious Becta Next Generation Learning Award for Adult and Community Learning in 2009.
Next Generation Learning Awards seek to identify and reward training providers in the FE and Skills Sector who are confident in the use of technology and are using it to make a difference to their learners' outcomes.
These awards are an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievement of all the winners and areas of innovation in the FE and Skills sector. Becta's aim is to share best practice from the winners and encourage improvement and development through technology in the whole sector.
The judges came across some outstanding examples of using technology. Please read on for information about all the winning organisations who were announced on Wednesday, 4 March 2009, at a celebratory awards ceremony at the National Science Museum.The three main areas for the awards were:
- Achieve efficiency and effectiveness
- Enable effective collaboration and partnerships
- Improve learners' outcomes.

Middlesbrough Adult Education Service are the sole Adult and Community Learning provider in England to be selected as an Exemplar provider. |
