Adult Learners Week 12th - 18th May 2012
the Middlesbrough Community Learning Service is going to be putting the following FREE taster courses on during this period:
Deaf Awareness - Mon 14th May, 1pm - 3pm – Give an insight into the understanding of Deafness and communication tactics with the hard of hearing and Deaf people.
Counselling - Tuesday 15th May, 1pm - 3pm Discover the benefits of Active Listening and gain an insight into the Counselling process
Mandarin - Wed 16th May 2012 - Further update will be posted
Card Making - Thu 17th May, 10am - 12 Noon Come and try your hand at making a sandwich card, everything supplied
Archaeology - Fri 18th May, 10am - 12 Noon - Find out about some of the Tees Valley’s hidden past, handle some genuine artifacts and learn how archaeologists have discovered and excavated sites. Course is suitable for complete beginners to anyone who has been on a dig or similar course.
BSL - Fri 18th May, 1pm - 3pm– To give learners a taste of how to communicate with Deaf people in BSL on a range of topics that involve simple everyday language
Family History - Fri 18th May, 1pm - 3pm – Introduction to Family History on the internet. Was your Grandfather a tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor, did he leave a will?
Floral Art - Fri 18th May 1pm - 3pm Introduction to Floral Art / Flower Arranging
