You can choose from a range of topics including:
basic art techniques,
painting,drawing and portrait work,
drawing plants and flowers,
painting and drawing landscaoes,
artistic use of Digital Imaging

Course Entry Requirements

An aptitude for the subject is an advantage but enthusiasm and enjoyment are the most important entry requirements. The course tutors will help you develop your skills in a variety of art related subjects including painting,drawing and using digital imaging.Each course is designed to develop one of these skills and is for people with little or no skills and experience.

What Will I Learn?

The courses aim to develop your individual skills through a variety of projects.The courses are designed to introduce basic techniques using a variety of materials.
The tutors will provide advice on how to improve the skills you are developing.
See and compare examples of other artists work.
To experiment with a variety of media.
To refine and improve skills in existing techniques.

Assessment and Accreditation

You can complete an Open College Network certificate if you wish.The qualification is optional,and all learners on the course will have their progress regularly reviewed by the course tutors and produce a portfolio to evidence your progress and achievement.

What Should I Bring?

You will be given advice at the first session as the specific equipment needed will depend upon your chosen subject and the media you choose to work in.
